I think that you have to read de Motherborad Handbook to see what the kind and capacity of memory support your motherboard. If you don´t have tha hanbook You can to search by the internet in the manufacturer motherboard´s home page. There are memory the Pc-66, Pc-100, Pc-333, Pc-400 and Pc-500 velocity and you must is sucure what of this your motherboard use it. Also, you have to assemble one and two or four memory at the same time, You can not assemble three memory. It can be one, two o four but not three. With respect the price depending of capacity of memory, 128 MB, 256 Mb, 512 or 1GB. The best quality are Kingston and Corsair. The kingston memory price is $168 by 2 2GB. The Corsair memory (TwinX2048-3500LLPRO) price is $315 by 2 Gb. I recommend you assemble two memory of 1 GB If you motherboard supporter and after review your motherborad handbook for the compatibility. I hope what is information help you.

Depending on the company, it'll cost you between 300 and 1000 dollars. I don't know what type of computer you are running, but most of what is out there should be compatible for a windows PC. As for installation, unless you have a good knowledge of computers, I wouldn't self install. A professional installation will cost anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars.

First you gotta figure out what kind of RAM you need, you go to http://www.kingston.com/ and put in your kind of computer and it tells you what size memory you can use. Then you go to http://www.newegg.com/ and select the right 2GB RAM for your computer based upon what Kingston told you, remember the brand doesn't matter much although I recommend Kingston, but get the right kind. And then when you have the ram you follow the directions that come with it for replacing your current RAM chip with the new ones. You should get two 1GB chips or whatever fits in your system.

There are various websites that sell pretty much only ram upgrades. If the computer is connected to internet, the sellers website will likely have a utility that you can run that will check your existing system and recommend compatible RAM.

You can go to www.newegg.com and get some RAM there. I'd say 2 sticks of 1 GB RAM will do the trick. How much it will cost depends on what kind of RAM you need and that is specified by your motherboard book.

not all motherboards would support 2 gb
if you add another 256 pull side panel off and pull the stick out get one that matches, or if you are going to add 512 it can be faster ,say you have,pc2100 ddr 256 ram, you could go with pc2700 ddr,512 best thing is to see in bios what is the fastest top end bus speed
