I know how frustrating that problem can be.You may find just cleaning your printer will help.

Since you didn't mention what brand your printer is, I can only give you generalized information.

Here is a step-by-step: (You have to scroll down a little)

This page says it's for an Epson, but I found that some of the tips were generic, and helped me clean my non-Epson printer.

I hope that you get the problem resolved in time!!

First of you want to run a print head cleaning and get a diagnostic page. Just because the cartridge is filled doesn't mean it will work.
IF you are getting no color on the diagnostic page, then run a couple more print head cleanings if you still see no color the cartridge may be dry or the ink may be too dense to pass through the print head.

If you still have no color stamp the cartridge down an a paper towel moistened with water. IF there is no ink there, you will have to replace the cartridge.

If you do get a great diagnostic page then the problem is your setting check in you print properties to make sure you are printing in color not black only.

With some lexmarks (who manufacture dell printers) you need to tell the printer is has a full cartridge, you can do this by following through the new cartridge installation guide outlined in your manual.

Printer companies do this to prevent ink refill kits from selling. Here are 2 fixes:

On the Hewlett-Packard, keep 3 cartridges, label them 1, 2, and 3 (In order of usage, 1 as the one currently used, 2 as the one that ran out when you needed 1, and 3 as the one 2 replaced), and refill them as you pleas, but be shure to cycle in order (1, 2, 3, then repeat) to circumvent HP's serial number memory.

On Epsons, look for the (Hard to find) duct-tape mod on the web to stop the internal ink level chips on the cartridges.

First if you think we all here are "smart asses" sitting idle and scratching balls - please do not ask question in this forum.

And your problem is refilling. Either the ink is not right quality your printer needs or the head is clogged. If you need badly the color prints - buy original cartridges.

It seems to me that the cartridge jets are clogged. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done. I know that refilling is less expensive, but a new cartridge will probably fix your problem.
