LCD any day, but more expensive especially in 17"+ category

less strain on eyes, lower power consumption, less space occupation, less heat generation, lower radiation

lcd technology has come a long way from the days of pixelisation & image quality is as good as crt and even better in many cases

crt is on it's way out like the dot matrix printer

LCD Flat Panel monitors hands down. Traditional CRT's are big, heavy, very space occupying, and doesn't have the new technology implemented into the monitors today which can provide for better picture quality and screen adjustment. There are still maybe 1 or 2 acceptable CRT's: a 21 inch by Sony, but those are impossible to find.

I prefer flat screen LCD because it is space saving. However, the pictures and graphics are always looking better on the old CRT. Sweet old days.

CRT. No fixed resolution (meaning no insane pixelation on low resolution, just the normal type). No screendoor effect. Flat screen versions are around to make the screens flat on them, too. I will admit they're big, but get this: I have 3 CRT's on an office table! They do have screen burn, but just use a screensaver and you'll be fine!
