can i upgrade the video memory in my dell inspiron 1000. it only has 32mb which sucks

only if there is an option in the bios, the inspiron 1000 is a very basic entry level computer, not designed for gaming or high end graphics or multimedia, it was designed for a student or houshold chaep laptop

Call Dell customer service, they will let you know if you can upgrade the video memory. 32MB is very very slow . Hope you can get it better. Good luck!

You have to buy a new video card. The memory on a video card is built into the card itself, not like upgrading regular RAM where you can swap out sticks of RAM.
