Use Paypal for your transaction... PAYPAL protects your payment if you don't receive your order & complained about it.
Actually there are cheap notebooks out for as low as 300+ to 500+ being sold by even the makers of the unit.... So it could be a good deal.

First, check the sellers feedback reputation. The lower the number the more suspicious to be. But do not just take someone with a higher feedback rating as trustworthy. The account could be a stolen one by someone that has gotten username and password for ebay by phishing or other means. Pictures mean NOTHING. You can get pictures from all over the web of just about anything imaginable. Second, why did they remove the listing? How would scammers stop a seller from selling something legitimately. I don't see that happening. How can the sale go thru ebay if the seller closed the auction before you bid? Did you bid already and then they closed it with you as the high bidder? Third, if this did happen, make sure that you pay ONLY by a method that you can get your money back if it is a scam. Scammers want you to use something like Western Union, cash or in some cases checks and or money orders. A credit card with online fraud protection and most easily PayPal are the recommended ways to pay. Make sure that you read and are covered by the buyer protection policy of Paypal if you use that method. Provide the auction number here and I'll look at the listing.

If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center ( www.fraud.org) These days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.
You can find more detailed information about a company at http://tinyurl.com/gtb89

First read her feedbacks and if her feedback is 0 or "private".. the it is probably a scam... Anyways, always pay using "paypal" when dealing with unknown sellers because Paypal have PayPal Buyer Protection that you may receive coverage up to $1,000 at no additional cost. But let me guess, she probably want you to send money order only...

Why are you not using PayPal? You can have the payment held until the goods arrive and you check it out. Then you authorize PayPal to pay her.
Remember you can get pictures from anywhere. It doesn't mean she has or owns the computer.
IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT IS.

I agree with the ones above. Remember, pictures can be faked.
If you do buy it make sure you use a payment method with fraud protection.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Check the seller's ratings.
