The best place to go is click on your start menu click programs (Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and Classic Start menu in XP Pro) and then click accessories and then go to System tools and then click on System Information this will tell you everything about your computer to what processor you have, graphics card, memory and even driver versions.

Do this..

Click start, then run, then type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and press enter.

Once the tool loads, you can see most of the informations about your computer system including processor's speed.

If the above doesn't work (XP doesn't always have that ability set up right). Go to Control Panel->System. it will be displayed on the general tab.
