I was wondering if there is another way to boost ny nachine by having an extra hard drive used as ram, to spped thing out. I understand RAM is only a temporary file, like the hard drive is permanent untill deleted.

I bought a 250GB external hard drive. It is a SATA drive connected via USB2 to the PC.

Now I am having many problems with it. I copied many files to it without errors and I never had a hang up. However, after a few days, I'm getting a lot of "corrupted folder" errors on Windows XP. Doing a chkdsk /R finds many errors. In fact, every time a do it, more and more errors are displayed. Does this mean the hard drive was defective and replacing it would fix it? I'm puzzled because there were no I/O errors/ hang ups / power outages etc which would cause such errors. The format was OK and there are no defective blocks or sectors reported.

I am using photo paper, i have an hp 1500 series printer, i have a tricolor cartridge hp vivera 93 and a hp vivera photo cartridge 99 and I have it set to print on the right type of paper
I don't understand why there would be faint vertical lines in the photo

I just bought an external hard drive for extra space. I want to transfer a few programs and files from my c-drive to the external drive. Is there a way to do this without uninstalling the programs and reinstalling them on the new drive?

I put in the wrong black cartridge, it slid over to the right under the molding and now its stuck and wont come back. It will mannually slide a little bit until it hits some kind of stop. Is there any way to get it to slide back to the middle?

I would like to know if you can have 2 internal disk drives in your computer at one time to save some space and some money instead of buying an external one. If you can't, I would like to know if you want to change your disk drive if you can transfer all the data on the original one to the new one.

I currently own a Dell Dimension 2400, it has an Intel Celeron processor, and 256mb of RAM, and a total of only 40gb of hd space, Im almost out of room. Will upgrading my memory and HD help?, if so, how do I find out what kind of HD is compatible with my pc.

my flat screen monitor went completely dead. i purchased it less than two years ago, so i'm pretty pissed about that.

a few weeks ago i turned on the computer, and the monitor was completely black. the power button was green and i was able to see the pictures and words on the screen by squinting. so i restarted the computer and it was fine for that day. however the next day i turned it on and nothing.

but, again, i was able to see the words and pictures, but it was pitch black with no light? seriously, whaddup wit dat?!?! PLEASE HELP! I had to dig for an ugly crt in my attic, and i'm not too happy about that. i'd like to know if it can before i trash it.

if anyone has heard anything about this please let me know! i would take it like a man and follow the rules, but my mother hates me so im not allowed to see my girlfriend for 30-60 days, its already been 14 days, and its really starting to bother me.

and the other board says it's ATA100

are these compatible, oprtimezed for eachother??

i reformated my laptop recenty and the guy at the computer shop said that i would loose all my files , songs etc when i reformat it.. is there anyway that i can back up all my files and songs in my C drive so that nothing would be deleted??
