Everything starts working properly.

Also, AVG will tell you what trojan was there and put it in a vault and you delete it.

After you get rid of the virus , re-do the scan. Normally AVG is able to do away with the file. But these viruses sometimes go and stick themselves to windows files which cannot be tampered with while windows is running.

Normally they are also cleaned.

just to be sure, scan with trojan detection programs. Ewido is one I like to use (they actually were acquired by AVG not to long ago).

After trashing, turn off computer and the next time you turn it on, rerun your security system...is it there still?
