I tryed using a compact wireless-g usb adapter, but it is not compatible with just an 802.11 port. They say it should work with 802.11b and 802.11g.I have a Linksys g router installed on my other computer. I think the usb port is not strong enough to connect to the internet.

Their network? Other than your network with your DSL cable provider, what other IP site should be allowed to be on your computer? If there is 3 IP addresses on your computer and you and your DSL Provider should be the only 2 allowed---Why do I have three?

We have an allworx system here and we had a networking guy configure it as our router and pbx. Basically it has capabilities of a router and a PBX also a hosting server but cant be a data server. We also have a panasonic pbx and have a landline connected to the allworx system. I was wondering if the allworx system can work without a landline connected to it. Can the allworx system get the landline through the configuration of the system which then can work through the internet and not landline? If you do this can you not use your phone service provider? Or is it that you just dont use their service in the sense of paying for local, domestic and international calls?

Okay, I currently have bellsouth and Bellsouth DSL. They cost an arm and a leg. I want to Vonage, but I will have to cancel my current DSL. Any advice. What is another good DSL company that will support Vonage, and will allow me to still use my AOL? Thanks

If you have a lets say a router and a PBX built in like the ones shortel and allworx sell. Do you need landlines. What is it with VOIP when is it when you dont need to have land lines to call out? Can your internet connection turn into your line to you dont need services like from att, etc?

Im using cable broadband, and i have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router attatched to it. I want to upgrade to 20mb broadband but will my router support that? Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but im supposed to be on 2mb just now and i only get 1, so i wasnt sure if its my routers fault or not?

I have a wireless router and have one desktop (wired connection) and use a laptop for work (wireless). Everything works great. My question is whether, when both systems are on, can my workplace or company 'see' or access what is being done on my personal desktop? Both machines use a firewall but are online on the same router. THANKS!

We have a desktop computer upstairs and a laptop downstairs. The cable from Virgin Media runs directly upstairs into the external modem. If the missus is working on the desktop upstairs and I want to search the internet downstairs , do I need a wireless router and what programmes do I need to enable my Laptop to read the wireless router. Any recommendations anyone.

The signal must not be strong enough or something, because the signal isnt getting to the little receiver on the computer, which makes the internet connection poor. I tried putting paperclips on the antennae, but i dont think that will work.

I plan on buying an xbox 360 but I want to play on LIVE, so I need to somehow get an ethernet cable to my 360, but the modem that i have only has one ethernet port. Could i use an ethernet adapter
http://www.amazon.com/Netgear-EN104TP-4-Port-Ethernet-Uplink/dp/B00000J4M9
to split the one cable coming from my modem and plug one cable into my computer and the other into my 360, and still have enough speed to access the internet and play games (at the same time; can i play videogames online on my 360 while my brother plays videogames online on my pc)?
