I have a Dell Latitude D600 with XP Pro that was aqquired when my company bought out another one. The old IT guy can't be reached, and I have no clue as to the pasword to gain access. There are no reset disks, the guest account is inactive, and I have tried most all of the generic admin passwords I can think of.

How would I go about getting into this machine? I am not concerned about any data that may be on it, and just want to gain acces to start anew.

ITs a 24 port switch and all the machines are new machines. If i connect more than 10 or 11 machines it gets triggered and goes OFF. Sometimes the error doesn't occur and earlier it was working fine. Is there a solution? No virus have been detected on any of the machines.

Hi, I bought a new PS3 yeaterday and it won't let me connect to the Playstation Network. I was able to sign up and create an account and download the Gran Turismo HD game, but now it won't let me log back in.
When I run the "TEST CONNECTION" tests its passes bothe the IP address and internet connection feilds as "SUCCESSFUL", but always times out and displays "FAIL" at the "Connect to Playstation Network" field...

I am using a straight connection from my PC through to the PS3 - NO router. My modem is a Sagem Fast 800 and my ISP is Tiscali.

This is the same connection I use for my XBOX 360 to get into XBOX LIVE and it works fine.

Please help.

My wifi at my parent's house is really weak even with the antenae extenders. What is the device called that allows you to plug your router into a device that shares the internet via plugs into your power outlet? I'm looking for this in Toronto, canada and not sure where I can buy it or what it's really called. I know that the slingbox has something similar that they offer so that you can plug your slingbox near your tv and then into the power outlet then to your router in another room without having to go through wifi.

need to either move the modem or leave it where it is and run cat 5 to the other side of the house...but I either have to split a new line off of the main drop from my cable provider because as you split the cable again and again the signal becomes to weak for good internet. So I either run about 30 feet of co ax of 30 feet of cat 5, which will lose the least signal over length?

Has anyone used a Linksys NSLU2 Network storage link to allow cabling USB 2.0 drives to an ethernet network? What transfer speeds have you achieved? Would it be overkill to equip this device to a Gigabit switch/router?
