Find the correct driver and software for your network card. Plug in wireless network card first, only then install drivers/software.

Check Device manager and see what is listed in the Network Adapters. If you cannon find it there look for the uninstalled devices (usually has yellow next to it). I am assuming your using Windows XP.
First roll back the system to a time when you know it worked (If you have system restore on). If that dont work try uninstalling all drivers and restart the PC then proceed as follows.
1/ Update all drivers.
If that doesn't work.
2/ Try a different PCI slot.
That should really work. Make sure your wireless AP is turned on.

Ok what do you mean "the sign?" and also you need to install the software first on the computers, and have the router set up already before u try to connect. Tell the router to get everything automatically, and make sure it is allowing the MAC ADDRESS(es) if u dont know what thoose are google it, but each wireless network card (NIC) has its own Mac Address, note the routher has to accept/allow it! afterward make sure the computer the router is hooked up to has internet, then try to get on to the network from the other computers(the wireless ones) Sometimes firewalls can be a problem. If you get the internet on all comps. encrypt the network, make sure the Network Identification Key (NIK) is set the same on ALL COMPUTERS and on the router, NOTE: If you still have problems connecting try getting a linksys router, as it is most easy to work with, and most compatible. Take this from someone who had to set up 3 computers so they could be on a network.... :( it took 3 months, cause I had a bad router and did not realize it, otherwise I have very noticeably had my rounds withe Wireless networks! If you need help just ask, or send me and email, also Microsofts website can be very handy!

Hi. Use 'Control panel> System> Device manager>' and uninstall the card. Reboot and let the OS find the new card and the drivers.
