HELP! I'm having a really hard time finding a Windows Vista compatable PCI b/g wireless adapter. I already had 2 that I tried in my new desktop.I downloaded the supposed new drivers and utilities, installed them and the drivers worked but the utilities didnt. I wasnt able to set the encryption on them. Ive looked online and been to a few of the big computer retailers. The people at the stores arn't willing to gaurantee they will work with Vista. Has anyone bought one that worked right out of the box? Thanks in advance

I have a 11g pci wireless card(Netgear Rangemax) on the pc and most of the devices in the house are 11g Netgear.

The router (Netgear WGT625v3) is quite far away and I have some signal issues as well some connection drop outs* whenever there are lots of connections and lots of bandwidth going on.(Drop outs means I have to go down one floor and reset the router to make the internet work again).

I am thinking of upgrading the router. I found the Netgear Rangemax NEXT gigabit edition in a store close by but I want to be sure that it is going to solve my problems and perform better.

I want something with very big range to eliminate dead spots in the house and something that can handle lots of connections and bandwidth.

Shall I get that router?

Or is there a better solution for my case?

I bought the cable to transfer files & setting from my old XP machine to my new Vista machine. It was suppose to come with Laplink PCsync software but when I opened the package, the CD was for USB Parallel Printer Adapter for Windows 98SE & ME. It was also a tiny little CD just 3" wide, not regular size. I emailed Belkin & they said nobody had a similar complaint. The package was totally heat sealed in a plastic clamshell thing. Unless someone at the factory was playing a joke, I don't know how this happened. I'll be returning it for a refund. Has this happened to anyone else or have you heard of it?

Hi I am using a Netgear wireless router and a Toshiba modem. Almost every day, I have problem connecting to the net. (Error message: Association failed). I get the connection back, if I unplug the modem and the router and connect them again.

I have a thinkpad and my wife uses a Dell. She is not having this problem connecting to the same wireless network.

Wil appreciate any help
