For the WEP key: you can just login to the router and look under wireless settings.

For the administration password:
If there's a password set, you'll either have to guess it, or ask him for it. That's the whole point of passwords on routers, you can't "find" them through commands.

You can always hit the reset button, but that clears the entire router configuration, not just the password. If your router is set for simle DHCP it will probably still work, but if your router was setup for PPPoE- it won't connect to the Internet until you re-enter the correct login information.

And of course, your dad will know it was reset.

Probably best to leave it alone...

You can't...the only way to bypass that is to reset the router and then put in the default password. Usually it's admin.
Of course when you do this the router will loose all the settings that it was setup with...so unless you know how to setup that router I wouldn't do it...

I assume you are talking about a password to use the router, as opposed to the password for the web-configuration interface.

Try guessing the password first of all... If it is a WEP key, then try doing a web-search for "WEP cracking," if it is a WAP key, then I would give up now.....

If you really want the key, then try a non-torture torture method called 'water boarding.'

You can reset the router and install it again and then enter in a new password. That's probably the best option in this case.

you could reset your router, if you have a reset button hold it down for around 10 seconds. This will restore EVERYTHING to factory settings. you can then get the default password from www.portforward.com
