Hi I am using a Netgear wireless router and a Toshiba modem. Almost every day, I have problem connecting to the net. (Error message: Association failed). I get the connection back, if I unplug the modem and the router and connect them again.

I have a thinkpad and my wife uses a Dell. She is not having this problem connecting to the same wireless network.

Wil appreciate any help

man i use a mac book and the rest of my family has problems some computers dont work with some routers well she could also be using all of your networks bandwith in that case tell her to limit the amount of internet conected sites at once and if she uses p2p(limewire,bitorrent,etc...) tell her to limit downloads and only use p2p when you dont need to use the network

When you say your wife's computer doesn't lost the connection, I assume you mean at the same time and place that your computer loses the connection. In that case, it sounds like the settings on the wireless card in your thinkpad, or a bad wireless card. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless adapter and check the lenovo site for driver updates, then check the settings on the cards to see what's different.
