What does Poke mean?

Poking is a feature on Facebook where a user can try to get another person to notice them. Pokes can turn into poking wars where users poke each other back and forth (me and my friend always do that). Many times these poke wars never end...also, when you poke someone, and they're not your "friend" it gives them the power to look at your profile for a week...
It's fun though! You should look me up on facebook and give me a poke *search for Reem Elkaramany* later!!!

It's just a way of getting someone's attention on Facebook. It sends the person a little message when they log in that they have been poked by so and so. You can poke back, too.
It's quite useless, really.

a poke means a poke- it will just appear on the persons screen the next time they sign in that you 'poked' them ( it is pretty useless) ~just like a 'nudge' on MSN...
you can email or write on their wall instead~ just be aware that when you write on their wall eveyone who is a 'friend' of that person can see what you wrote...
