Wireless-G (802.11g) - It has the same benifit as Wireless-B, but offers 54Mbps. You can mix Wireless-B with Wireless-G equipment, but you will lose the higher performance speeds of Wireless-G.
f it is not receiving the signals, there may be some other reasons. You can check Check Wireless Channels , and SSID, and ofcourse that Computer or laptop with WUSB54G must fall in the covering area (means Line of sight ) of that router.

most likely it is - check the spec sheet for your adapter @ linksys for backwards compatibility to 802.11b. the wmp54g card for desktops can work with either b or g networks.
