Computer Networking - February 2007

I live in an apartment complex and I am using a wireless internet router to broadcast my internet connection. How do I find out if someone else (and who) is using my internet besides me? I'm using a Linksys router.

l'm trying to connect my second computer to a wireless network l'm running windows xp but all it says is acquiring IP address but that's as far as it gets, the main PC is connected to the internet ok via the router, can anybody help please?

How can i get NTL broadband?
ive had broadband but ive yesterday now reinstalled Windows XP because there was a problem with it. Put the ntl Cd in to install then it came up
Ethernet which is what i have
then said you need to install the NIC driver???????

Someone please help im clueless

Computor runs to slow for internet..Trying to use DSL ..I have 134MHZ ..need 233 MHZ to run DSL..is there any way i can make it run faster and if so, is it expensive,,is it hard to change the processor myself or do i just deal with it??

i am trying to find out if i have an ethernet card installed on my computer. here is what i have on it. i have a phone plug looking thing with this written on it mag jack si-70027 china 0438dg bel stewart 10/100 bt and i have the normal phone jack also that i use for dial up is this mag jack thing ethernet or what is it please help i want to get dsl and they said i have to have ethernet (nic) thanks

I have a Netgear wireless Rangemax 240 WPNT834 Router
I have Verizon DSL.
My modem is a Westell 6100

I have tried multiple times to set this router up and several different people have tried to set this up. No luck

I have tried powercycling it, restarting the network different settings, and everything else i could think of Including restarting the router with the little button on the back.

When I set it up i go exactly by the installation disk. When I am finished it says i am connected. I try to view a web page and it says Page Cannot Be Displayed.
I think my router is bad but i have tried it with 2 different netgears
Any computer techs here?

I have a linksys wireless-G broadband router model WRT54G. I bought it off ebay in order to get internet on my PSP. I also have a wired linksys router that is already installed. i went to the routers website and looked at the manual guide for how to hook both routers up. It told me to enter the ip address 192.168.1.1 into the web browser. but when i did this it said page could not be displayed. Can someone give me some tips on how to set it up and take me from there. i am as lost as can be.

We have Earthlink DSL, and we are looking for a router. When I use the PC (desktop), she takes out the Ethernet cord and plugs it into her laptop, enters my dad's password in, and uses the internet (while I cannot). Is there any way to stop or lock it?
