By getting am adaptor that has a stronger signal...I have a Netgear that plugs into my usb port and I hang it on the wall, I get my signal that I am using right now from a Hotel thats like 5 Football fields away...And its a Good/Very Good signal.....

You can try moving the modem a few feet from where it is now and sometimes that helps. You can also buy an 'access point' which is a router system repeater they are the best method and can double the range. Most remote access point cost about the same as a router. I've seen them selling from thirty dollars up.

You could spend $100.00 on a Linksys Wireless repeater. I've set up a handful of them, and they work pretty good and can double your coverage area. Or, you could look into replacing your current router with a wireless N router. They're supposed to have up to 4 times the range.
