My wireless network is working fine. I'm connected and the signal is strong......but for some reason internet pages won't load or can't be found....AIM won't connect....so basically my internet isn't working though i'm connected. (i'm currently not using wireless while i'm writing this). Everything was working fine just a couple hours ago. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I rescently bought a laptop w/ wireless. I am able to access the internet without actually sighning up for an ISP. I'm just curious as to how this works and if it is a safe practice. I was also curious if this can be done with any computer.

I'm an IT guy at my company and I have several people wanting me to setup home networks. These are pretty basic setups, 2-3 computers and maybe a printer. Usually take me around an hour. Any suggestions?

I am not argueing and debating that Token Ring should be better.

What I am really looking for is a smart way to understand why this possible job position want me to converts all network from Token Ring to ethernet.

What is the difference in your words?

Knowing more about computer technician but not enough in networking. I felt that this is something I can learn for today if I were to do this job that is offering to me.

I can't seem to find a way for it to search for local wireless IP's? It's a laptop, and that is how I have always connected, here at home or away.

What am I doing wrong?

I have a stupid question. But nearly no one asked this.

I really don't know and I'm so good with computers.

Can I share RAM between to Networked Computers. Is their any program? Is their an RAM program? That you can use/run tasks on a online RAM thingy.

Something similar!!

Thanks,
Billy

I go to my friends space and click on a page, once there I am either immediately logged off or it happens when I try to send a message. I'm on a computer at a library so it's not like I've got a direct access and wonder if that might have something to do with it.
