I am having two laptops - lp1 (XP Home) which is wirelessly connected to the internet through a router and another lp2 (2K Pro , this does not have wireless card) I need lp2 to connect to the internet through lp1 using a crossover cable

I have a video ipod and some of the videos that i drag from limewire to itunes for the videos. I only get some of the videos most of the time and they are all mp4. What should I do?

I have a video ipod and i downloaded music and videos off of limewire and when i drag the video clips to my itunes from limewire some of the clips won't be attached to itunes but some others do. So, how come i can't get some videos on my ipod?

How do I increase speed? I'm using the cable company's adapter. It's set to obtain IP address automatically & obtain DNS server address automatically and it says that it is enabled so why am I only getting 1 m.b.p.s.?

I've been running tracert from a DOS session trying to locate a spammer's ISP, and when it gets to about the 16th hop the DOS window closes with prejudice (very suddenly.) I did it last week, and the trace ended normally - any ideas? By the way, the ISP is called "Bay Area Internet Solutions"

I set up a wireless network. It connects a computer with XP Home to a computer with Millenium.
I can share files BUT NOT internet.
What am I doing wrong? An icon that says Residential Gateway Device has appeared...does it have anything to do?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

is there any way i can block internet services specifically yahoo services like webcam, all sorts of chat and yahoo.com itself. I also want to block services like torrent downloading like bit comet. are there any alternatives aside from blocking it from the router? i just want to limit the internet here for productivity purposes.

if you are knowledgable about blocking services, I would really appreciate it if it is thouroghly answered. thank you very much in advance.

I've just moved house and I'm trying to install the wireless router. With my laptop 1 foot away from the router I get either a low or very low signal. The aerial is fastened and secure, there is nothing else wireless yet plugged in. The router is connected to the internet and there is nothing else yet linked to the network. Why do I only get a low signal?
