I was wondering if I should still purchase a PC card network adapter to connect my notebook to my wireless broadband router (Linksys WRT54G) even if there is Wireless-G technology on the laptop? Would this improve signal or is it unecessary?

I have a BA degree in advertising (not much help, but a degree nonetheless). I will be coming into the IT industry with no professional experience (other than IT recruiting from 5/05 to present). Will I only be marketable to helpdesk positions or will I be qualified and sought for a pc support/technician position?

My company wants to migrate to outsourced IT, to the MicroSystems / JustConnect platform. I'm the one who needs to tell the management why this is a bad idea. We're very up-to-date with the latest technology, and I don't see any benefit to changing something that isn't broken. Everything I can find on the web says it's a great idea -- but noone will talk about the cons / negatives of utilizing an outsourced IT solution. Please help me out and tell me if I'm correct (and give me ammunition) or if I'm wrong about this, educate me as to why in the world we'd want to change our fully operational, fast, and latest-technology hardware/software to simply use Citrix/I-net to connect to what would normally be in our office to begin with. Thank you!!
