i am using a proxy server to connect to internet on other computer in LAN. i try to telnet the other computer and sont get the connection. Can anyone also explain me th etelnet and port number in detail? or direct me to some arcticle??

At home we have 4-5 computers... we would like to set up a wireless network so that everyone cannot get on our internet connection. We already have a router, and can all get online, but we don't have a code on it. How do we put a code on it?

Lets say everytime i exit out of Limewire, it keeps trying to reopen even though i didn't tell it too. So i figured maybe uninstalling Limewire would fix the problem, but it still is trying to reopen Limewire. How can i fix this problem. I'm wanting to reinstall Limewire, but it will probably continue to do the same thing. Once i have reinstalled it, how do i fix the problem. I hope you can help me.

I have a pavillion a350n desktop pc. My cable modem went down after a severe storm. Now I replaced it but I can get no connection from internet. Then I noticed my lan connection disappeared. Can'tseem to get it going. Don't know if it is bad or lost driver but lights up on back of my PC. Do I need to replace my ethernet or is it just drivers. Tried the drivers but keep getting error messages

my laptop is running on windows xp and my pc is on windows 2000. i'm running the setup wizard (on my laptop) and it's telling me that i need to create a setup disk. now, the only way it's letting me do this is by plugging in a memory stick (which i don't have) or i can put the windows xp cd (which again, i don't have) into my other computer. i'm trying to do this all wirelessly and i'm having a really tough time with this. any suggestions?
