DO NOT GET LINKSYS

Netgear or D-Link I have never had trouble with, but Linksys has never functioned for me. Make sure when setting up the network to keep your monitors, TVs, and ceiling fans from being inbetween the router and the receiver or you will get interference. Also make sure the frequency the monitor is on is not the same as any wireless telephones you have in the house. Not cell phones, but land lines.

If you are going to be using it just for the Laptop then go with something cheap. If you are going to be using it to hook up your xbox360 and other laptops and maybe a desktop and or a PSP then you should go with a LINKS Wireless G Router check out there web site or try LYNKSYS.com they have great videos that will help you decide what is best for your convenience

I have some Linksys stuff at work and Apple Airport hubs both at work and home. When I fire up streaming audio (radio or music) from my laptop and play it (via Airport Express) through our stereo equipment it (still) blows many people away.

Incidentally, the Apple networking gear was up and running in minutes. Very simple to install and use.
