there are so many ways to transfer files from one computer to another. 1] by using flask disk at least 2gb min n both computers should a have a usb port 2] by copying ur files to a cd meaning ur old pc should have a rw cd rom this will be use also as ur back up 3] by connecting the 2 computer thru lan provided both computers have a network adapter n use a cross over rj45 cable 4] take ur hard disk from the old cpu then connect it to ur new comp and make this hard disk as slave, n ur computer will automatically detect it and a certain letter will be assigned to it, just like when u put a flash disk to usb port from this you can just copy n paste the files to ur new hard disk. hope i was able to answer ur inquiry n hope u choose me as best answer

It depends how much space the files take up and what capability your hardware has. A good thumb drive might do it, or if you have an external hard drive with a usb cable and usb ports on both PC's that would definitely do it. You could also burn your data to a CD and then just read the CD on the new computer. Even if you have a lot of data, you could buy a nice thumb drive (I have a cruzer min 512 MB) for not too much and transfer files a little at a time. Think of it as a chance to organize yourself... I just had to do this for work. You could even email yourself files....

The fastest way is to remove the hard drive from the old pc.
Take it to your new pc and hook it up as a 2nd or a slave driver.
Then you can transfer the file or not.
Your new pc can hold many hard drives.
If your old hard drive is very old, then transfer.
If your old hard drive is still in good condition, you can just leave the files in it.
I hope you understand, your new hard drive is normally call drive C, you can have drive D, E, F, etc.
Once you transfer the files, you can take it back out or leave it in.

If the files are small, like a few meg., you can use the internet.
If the files are 100s of meg, you can burn a CD.
CD burning is the easest, but slow.
one gig will take about 13 CDs.
If the files are much larger, then taking the hard drive out is the fastest and cheapest way.

You can take the few short steps of networking the PC's, but if you have a lot of data to transfer, it might save you time to move the hard drive instead. Simply install it in the target PC as a "slave" drive, and still boot from the original. It should show up as a new drive letter in Windows Explorer.

If you decide to network them, a crossover ethernet cable would be the cheapest and easiest solution so that you can connect them directly together. However, many find it even easier to just get a cheap hub and run regular ethernet cable from each PC to the hub.

The following websites might help you get started once you have the equipment:

well for this you need
1.a crossover network cable to connect both of you pc's if both PC's have network card and they are well configured. then share all of you files from old CPU

2. The second option you have is detach the old hard drive and plug it in your new CPU using a IDE/SCSI cable whatever type of HHD you have in master slave fashion.

3.Third option you have is USB based transfer of data but in this case you need a software to control the transfer

Hope this will work

There are several ways to do it. One, use a external harddrive to move the files from one to the other. Thats the best method for a lot of files at once. Two, use a flash drive. Three, burn the files to a CD (700mb) or DVD (4.7gb).

There are many ways, either through physical mediums like CDRs/DVD-Rs or networked with a router

Also, you can physically move the hard drive out of one computer to the other and copy it that way. A little more hardware intensive, but for large hard drives, it will do much faster copying

Better you connect the two computers by cross cables

start- settings - network connections
In that Left corner, Create new connection - next - Setup an Advanced Connection - Connect directly to the computer -By guest or host

Then, Transfer your files
