Is anyone familiar with the D-Link Air DWL 122 Wireless Adapter?

How do I increase speed? I'm using the cable company's adapter. It's set to obtain IP address automatically & obtain DNS server address automatically and it says that it is enabled so why am I only getting 1 m.b.p.s.?

you are probably out of range. check your connection for the signal strength. Or you can use a wifi sniffer program to enhance or update the firmware of your wifi card for better performance.

Also try using disabling the firewall.

Or you can pull speed by using programs like DAP and Modem booster.
