I set up a wireless network. It connects a computer with XP Home to a computer with Millenium.
I can share files BUT NOT internet.
What am I doing wrong? An icon that says Residential Gateway Device has appeared...does it have anything to do?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

The Residential Gateway Device appears on the Windows Millenium computer.

The XP home has direct access to the Internet.

Does the router have internet access? If the router doesn't have an internet connection, the computers connected can't use the internet.

I'm guessing that you need to change the way the devices (computers, gateway, modem) are connected. You probably have your new wireless router or gateway NOT connected to the internet. I'll try to draw a diagram of what it SHOULD look like:
(Unfortunately this silly YahooAnswers keeps messing up the diagram I am drawing but hopefully you get the idea.)
