Just wondering if anyone has any tips. I am taking classes & have transender tests & Testking Tests. Just want to know what your methods were & what worked best for passing them. I know they are harder today. Also looking into the database field. Any tips or suggestions for getting itno that field?

Microsoft has at some point figured out that the MCSE track is yet another cash cow for them. They have courses and books, but not all the things you need to know are simply covered in one book, or in the one course you take. So you're almost always forced to buy additional books.
The Transcenders don't do it anymore, since MS also has changed the exams. They can give you an idea though as to what areas you need to study better. I don't have much experience with Testking.

As far as the DBA track goes: it qill take quite a bit of studying, but no books will tell you what you actually need to know in real life. The courses can only give you a basis from where you can start building your knowledge and experience.

im MCDBA in both SQL 7 and 2000 and MCIP:SQL Admin in SQL 2005 - ignore transcender and memorise testking and you will pass

as for getting job - just keep on applying and sooner or later you will get one
