Hey, I just bought a MacBook with leopard and I was wondering how i can change the names of items on the dock and also their icon maybe? Thanks

All of my computers have Window XP SP2, and have remote access assistant on them. I want to be able to connect them to each other, but they all have the same IP! And if I want to connect from an outside computer, what IP do I enter in to reach a specific computer within my home? I know I can use places like logmein.com but some places with outside networks will block certain sites and that might be one.

My motherboard holds a 939socket Amd 4400 x2 cpu and DDR memory i wanted to know if i could take the Cpu thats designed for 939 socket and put it into a a AM2 board i want to upgrade the memory to DDR2 or higher but the board i have will not let me go any higher with the system memory i have . I want to keep my Cpu if possible but the thing i want to do is make my memory DDR2 instead of DDR but the board i have will not let mt install this kind of memory . So i wanted to know if there is a board out there that will hold a 939 socket Amd 4400 X2 cpu so i can upgrade the memory to DDR2 or is there some memory that works like DDR2 for the 184 pin memory socket i currently have on my motherboard now. I can only find that to install DDR2 memory one needs to have 240 pin memory sockt boards. I want to be able to keep my Cpu but use it ith DDR2 memory hope you guys understand what i am saying LOL . Hope to hear what you guys have to say about this thanks.

ok so our school internet filters block EVERYTHING its so annoying does any one know how to get round them ?? they use RM safety net universal.. occaisonlay i will typ in google bypass internet and it would find one that worked now there are non at all as they have been all blocked. the schools filter also blockes certain things that is typed into google or the adress bar such as proxy or unblock. so i am a bit stuck!

Hey everyone.

I've had my iMac for around 18months now however i am now giving it to a family member as i have just bought a Macbook.

However, what im looking to do is have the iMac as close to as it was when i bought (eg. all my files removed, all the applications ive downloaded removed) so its like a brand new computer for him.

How Do I do this most effectively?
(However I don't want to delete Microsoft Office that i've installed as its the student one and ive ran out of codes).

No fans turn on nor will the machine power up when I press the main button. I have tried swapping the power unit with no change and also bypassed the power switch with a screwdriver on both pins but now I'm stumped...could it be the motherboard or am I missing something? Please help!

It is not protected and won't let me add new work sheet pages?? Anyone else know why (some people in my office say it may be 'maxed out' Ie. contains too much info and functions), but it's only got 10 tabs and about a 150K file size so it's not HUGE?? Can anyone help? Thanks

My problem is this: I have two forms, one with a string grid that reads 4m a file and the other with edit boxes that write to the file (after pushing the ok btn) - writing either new records or editing current records. what happens is: the data writes alright in the editing/writing form, but the string grid on the other form doesn't update and my update procedure causes the string grid to enter an endless loop (and it appears to be pointing to the record that was jus updated).
The same code in Delphi works, so it might be something with the file class...

Plz help (im a novice programer at best, also lemme know if you need any info for clarity...

Ok, before you freak out about a noob building his own pc, my friend graduated with a computer engineering degree and does this for a living. He will be accompanying me :)

1. I heard you need to de-static your fingers so you don't fry your pc parts? Is it possible to use leather gloves or latex gloves?
2. Is 550 watts enough to power a 2.6ghz dual core/7600gt 256mb gfx card/ asus sli mobo/4 gigs of ram/dvd/cd drive/and a 250gig hd?
3. I heard unless you multi task with media it's not really a necessity to get a dual core... but the only single cores I can find are the athlon 64 around 2ghz. I have an amd athlon barton 2500 @ 1.8ghz, is there a big diff?
