I know, weird problem, but I can't find the driver where you insert CDs. I have a fujistu lifebook w/ windows xp, and i know it has the driver, i just can't find how to open it!!! :)

I have not used internet explorer for two months (since October) now (been on a ship cruising the Pacific) and from what　I can last recalｌ it worked fine before I left.

When ever I try to run internet explorer I get nothing; no browser, no error message, no nothing. I have tried to run it as an administrator, but got the same response.

I have also tried doing a system restore back 2 months, but I always get the same message that there was an error during the system restore and it could not be completed. My desktop looks like it was restored to 2 months ago, but internet explorer still doesnt work!

The internet connectivity does work though and I was able to use it to update several programs, but any link that opens an IE browser will not work.

The only thing I have done really since it last worked was update some programs and also several window updates.

Also the news feed in my sidebar wont update.

Any help would be great! Are there any virsuses that can cause this?

Does the host provider cut off access to your website or do you incur additional charges. I want to build my own website and I'm worried that if I go with the wrong internet hosting company I could end up incurring a small fortune in "hiddden" charges.

I am trying to make my background a layer and it says in the instructions to click the background twice in the layer pallette to unlock it. Whenever I click it twice though, it doesn't unlock it.

Instead of it saying "background" on the layer pallett, it says "Index".

If you could please help me out, that would really be great.

I`ve tried everything!I have the best antti-virus that I could purchase, reinstalled Windows hundreds of times, I`ve formatted all my hard drives many times, from 80 gb of memory i have almost 60 free,it is very well ventilated, even changed the source :| The automatic restart option isn`t selected,i`ve tried everything but nothing I do works.It keeps restarting or it gives me the blue screen and I have to restart it myself.Can anyone tell me something else I can do to solve this problem?

Hi, I'd like some advice about converting my "Quicktime" videos. I would like to use Windows Movie Maker, as well as other programs that can manipulate and work with my videos. However Quicktime doesn't work with ANY other program or application it seems. So any advice on how to convert the Quicktime videos, or at least be able to work easily and efficiently with them?

My new notebook should be here any day and my current modem has no wireless capability and only one Ethernet jack which my PC is plugged into. Could I just pick up a new one from the store, or should I call the phone company? I tried a different one time when a friend of mine got rid of their DSL (I have DSL too...) and it wouldn't work...

my display of the monitor has become pink. sometimes it blinks with blue and purple color. graphic card is set properly and the cable is also in the proper port. but still i have this problem. the right side is especially more pink than the other sides. what shoul i do now?

OK i want to dual boot windows xp (already installed) and MAC OS X so i can see what MOSX is like with out uninstalling WXP.
Everyone i ask says that it sucks but thats their opinion. Is it true that it can really any game now? (without some bullsh!t program)

i just bought a new computer and need to upgrade the graphics card so that i can play games because the computer came with the standard Intel graphics 950 (or whatever) and according to www.systemrequirementslab.com it really won't play anything that is new because of the shaders, MB, and stuff. i have already upgraded the power supply to 500watts. my question is is there really a differance between the GeForce 8400, 8500, and 8600 cards out there? yes, i know about higher core clock speed being better, higher memory interface, as well as the memory supposally being better, but is there really that much differance between the three?i'm not a hardcore gamer, i just want to play half-life, guild wars, halo, and some of the new games out there. i know that you can get both 8500 and 8600 in both 256 and 512, but would 8500-512 be the same as 8600-256?

I have a file on my computer and the file type says "application (.exe) I cannot delete, move, or even rename the file. It just keeps telling me that I cannot bc it is currently being used by another program. The file is one created using Win RAR. I have tried safe mode and even gone in and ended all unnecessary processes, but it still claims that it is being used by another program. What do I do?

Well...obviously the computers are "smarter" in some areas, than us(the humans...). A computer could be unbeatable in chess and all written world books could be stored on a simple personal computer. The greatest challenge however in the AI development, is how to force a computer to take it's own decisions, just like a human being??? The computer is alwaus limted in its "source code", thus unable to make own decisions...

I am sure the idea doesn't depend only on software developers, but a work in the areas of mathematics, biology, philosophy would be crucial in the future of the AI, to say the least.

So, what do you think? How far we are from a REAL ARTIFICIAL :) intelligence.

I have the '07 version, it came with my new laptop, and so far I have two problems with it. One, everytime I turn it on, it asks for an activation code that is supposed to be on a cd. My computer came with it, I have no key, and it's honestly an annoying process and it takes a minute or so just to get it to 'X' off of the activation key. It says I will have limited use of features until I enter the code, which I do not have, it's frustrating to say the least.

More recently, as in within the past few hours, it completely locked every file I had, I was working on a story, coding, and multiple other important things. I cannot type, remove anything, or anything. All options under Home, Review, everything, it's blanked out since it is 'locked'. It is extremely annoying, as I was not finished with many of the files, and can find no way to unlock them, and I am far too frustrated to start over on scratch, just so that everytime I save and turn the computer off, so it'll lock up. Fixable?
