how can i disable the firewall on a 2wire router?

I have no idea, why you would want to do this? It will expose your entire network. BUT to do it for a single machine, just put that machines IP in a DMZ! That will remove all protection and the firewall.

You can get full information for your router at
http://2wire.com just go to support and enter your specific model. You can also just put the 2wire into BRIDGE mode which will also remove all filters and all routing etc.

If its for gaming etc, I would just configure the firewall to pass the specific ports needed, much safer and much more effective.
