I have a printer-friendly page but I want to put page break separator graphics in there that will not be displayed when printed. Can this be possible with CSS? Thanks.

Is there anyway of actually changing the html on my myspace page http://www.myspace.com/presenceunknown at the momoent the logo is in the profile box can you put images outside the main boxes. i.e free standing on its own ?

Hi,
May be I am not using the word socialism and capitalism most appropriately, but let me say what I mean..

I hear that FCC is auctioning some bandwidth of spectrum and Google planning to bid for some 700MHz..
I understand it as going from socialism to capitalism..

But after private companies own these bandwidths, it will never be possible to go from capitalism to socialism,right?
i.e. Govts will never be able to re-own these bandwidths..
unless private companies willingly give it back..
because then it will infringe on the right of private companies..

It's just an example. In general it seems, that it would be hard to go back from capitalism to socialism for the govt..

Comments/Insights etc are most welcome !

Okay, my laptop only has 34GB of hard drive space, it doesn't have enough RAM to do anything with, and I'm planning on going to college in the fall and majoring in Computer Programming and minoring in Computer Maintainance. I don't think my delicate laptop is up to par with what I plan on doing.

My father broke his hard drive in his $2000 Dell laptop a few years ago. He specifically asked for a computer that he could use for gaming, and thus his wish was granted. So, surely his computer will have enough RAM to actually get things done.

I know only the basics about computers. Would I be able to slide the hard drive out of my laptop and put it into his, and it actually work? I mean, I know I'll still only have a 34GB hard drive, but maybe I'll have better RAM? I just need some help. If this won't work, please tell me how I can make my puny laptop beter without spending a lot of cash.

if i update software like iTunes, will it just add on to my computer and will i have to delete the old iTunes myself? or is it supposed to overwrite it or something? because i've updated software before and when it was finished i noticed i had less memory on my computer.
and if i do delete my old itunes, is there a way i can carry the songs over to the new itunes?

OMG I'm freaking out! I accidentally dragged my iphoto out and when it touched the desktop it disappeared and now I dont know how to recover it!(my hand slipped) Is it gone forever?! What should I do?! Damn it would suck because if I cant get it back I wont be able to take any more pictures with it and my friend will get angry at me when she finds out. :(

Whenever I insert a hit counter to a certain page of mine, everything but the hit counter disappears. What gives?

It's a javascript counter, but I've tried regular HTML ones and those die too.

I use Windows Movie maker and I just finished a video to put on youtube, (my first one) but it won't let me save it! I press save to computer and it goes through all the stuff but then while it goes through the progress of saving, a screen pops up saying "Windows movie maker cannot save the movie in the current location. Verify that the location and clips used are still available and that there is enough space." I have tried to change the location and everything seems fine and there is plenty of space! WHAT'S WRONG??!?!

It then continues to scan but never seems to find any further threats. Recently I have taken to cancelling the scan and deleting the threats when they have been located. Does anyone have any comments? Is there any point in continuing the scan?

I allowed the office "IT" guy to install something on my personal laptop and I'm crawling with trojans, worms, adware, spyware, etc. Spent €90 to get it fixed -- they took off McAffee (which had been working before the "IT jerk". Now I have Kaspersky and Super AntiSpyware. Things keep coming through -- hundreds of infestations even with 2-3 times daily scans.

I'm considering backing up everything and starting from scratch, but won't I also back up the infected files?

What software should I use to protect myself?

Should I go back to the 2nd (real) IT guys to finish what I paid them for?

Would love any advice on this age-old topic! Thanks!

I have changed the values of one item in my Filemaker database.

It was a series of tick boxes in a field called "Awards'. I changed the names of the tick boxes, and now I cannot find the export document whenever I try to export the data.

It always used to go to my desktop, but now I have amended the tick boxes in the 'Awards' field, the export document doesn't show up anymore. What can I do to fix this?

We are kind of discouraged to have Facebook accts because we work for the company and even though it is our personal life we project a non-professional image to the world. Does your company have a stand on on-line personal profiles? Is it true that Facebook can provide to someone your private information if they pay and this is apparently in their privacy statement you sign? Thanks!
