Normally, the store you bought the 1GB Card has an estimate as to how many pictures you can have in your 1GB Card upon knowing your camera and at how much pixels it got.
Actually, a card capability to store photos/pictures depends on the no. of pixels your camera has. Therefore, a camera with say 5 pixels can store more photos against a camera of say 7 pixels using the same 1GB Memory Card.
Now, a 7.1 pixel camera can make more or less 450 photos in 1GB Card. I think you can figure it out now how many your camera can. . !. It is real tough to estimate how much photos your camera can make without knowing how many pixels your camera is capable.
I hope this helps you at least to estimate the answer. . !

Depends on the size and resolution of the pictures. Take one picture. Download it to your computer so you can see the size. A gig is 1024 mb. So divide 1024 with the size of the picture in mb, and you will know how may pictures the card will hold at that resolution.
(Usually when you insert the card, the camera will tell you how many picture you will be able to fit on the card. A 1 gig card will give you a lot of pictures.)

It depends on your camera and the size of the picture files.
I am currently at about 456 on my 1GB card, with a couple of minutes of video. My camera is a Kodak Easyshare camera with 6MP resolution.
Based on the available space, my camera is saying I can get a couple hundred more pictures.

a few hundred-1000 or so, you can easily find out , it depends on what image quality you set the camera to. set your camera up how you want it . take 5 picutures, see how many pictures you camera says you have left. or plug the camera in to the pc and access it as usb mass storage device, removable drive , you should see it in my computer, you can see how many megabytes have been used and work it out this way. 1GB = 1000 MB
