I accidentally trashed my iphoto! I desperately want to recover it but how!?

OMG I'm freaking out! I accidentally dragged my iphoto out and when it touched the desktop it disappeared and now I dont know how to recover it!(my hand slipped) Is it gone forever?! What should I do?! Damn it would suck because if I cant get it back I wont be able to take any more pictures with it and my friend will get angry at me when she finds out. :(

look in the recycle ben but reading what you wrote it looks like you just erased the desktop icon thats all.
