why replacing a new hard-disk can be able to speed-up the processing of the system unit?
many thanks

Because you don't have enough RAM in your computer and the computer has to use the swap file.

A faster hard drive can make a big difference if your computer is thrashing but if it's thrashing because it doesn't have enough physical memory you'd get much more for your money by just adding more RAM. Some tasks which rely heavily on reading and writing from the hard drive can be sped up by a faster hard drive though (although more efficient algorithms are probably a better solution in many such cases).

It does not increase the processing speed of the system. What it does however, is to speed up data transfer between drive and RAM, which can increase performance in SWAPPING virtual RAM pages.

Further, a new hard disk might be able to read / write bigger chunks of data in one go (bigger cluster size) which can reduce repeated read write requests and increase the performance minimally.

Hard disks store bits of info.it then slows when the remaining space is just 20%. Try to delete unused and null programs to clean it and make it faster, if it aint work, it is time to buy a new Hard Disk pls. try it with the double Gig capacity. =)

If you have two HDD's put the paging (swap files/ virtual memory) on the HDD that does not run your operating system (Windows) and have none on the OS HDD.

It would only make a difference if the data transfer rate were higher and even then it wouldn't be much of an improvement.
