Is it fine to use a mouse without installing it, I'm almost sure it is. But does it lose any features etc?

i turned on my laptop and it keeps making a continuous (really loud) beeeeeeeep noise and i pressed the shutoff button and it wont and the mute button wont work... its a hpdv9000

I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to buy the little plastic things that hold the keys on a laptop keyboard. I ended up taking mine apart a few days ago and a few of those little plastic things broke so now my keys wont stay down?

I would basically just like to be pointed in the right direction.

I know HTML, CSS, and XML, and am looking into these newer/better langs for a project I want to put together.
Also, could somebody tell me how to set up a virtual web server on my desktop?!?
So I can view the PHP pages with working Mysql queries and such.

Assume I have two tables:

Table name: coachs

Table name: players

I want to join these tables above, into one table or one view:

Hi, Recently I bought a domain name and webhosting space from VSNL Tata Indicom. I received the registration for both, the website hosting FTP & Webanliser User Name is received also. However I don't know what to do next, can someone pls guide me on how to create a website for my business. I recently had to buy a new laptop because the LCD panel in my old one went out. A friend of mine mentioned a few ways of transfering files, such as music and pictures, from my old laptop to my new laptop. I decided to go with a Cat 5 crossover patch cable, but I'm not sure if it will actually work. And I am wondering how to go about using this cable, if in fact it will work?

playSong() will play the song when i press play button on remote control. pauseSong() will pause the song when i press pause button on remote control. Since i want to create a new button & want this new button to have click 1st time to pause the song, then click 2nd time to play the song again, then click again to pause the song & so on...

So i write the playPauseButton() function. But i only can pause the song & cannot play the song with clicking the same button. Why?

My new pc has a pci-express slot. How much system memory (ram) would I free by installing a video card? And how much memory should the video card have? (I know some come with 256MB, 512MB, etc.) Except for the pre-installed cards games I wont be playing other games.

When I press the power button on my desktop nothing happens. Checked power cord and power switch on back of PS.

Thinking that if it is a mobo problem that the fans would at least power up; currently nothing happens when button pressed, no fans, drives don't spin up. Nothing.

Anyone know any "easy" ways to check?

Power supply is 500 Watt ThermalTake, Mobo is an MSI K8N Neo; system has been running fine for over two years.

I have dsl in my home and have 4 computers, we all have different networks ip's obviously, but what is weird is that we all have the same internet ip, not the same as cable, if i have a certain program running in a port off my computer, so i can access it from anywhere else, can i just put the ip address that we all have plus the port, or what?...

I have been using an old version of MathCad on my Mac for some time. It runs under OS 9. I am planning an upgrade to a newer version of OS X that does not allow booting OS 9, and MathCad apparently no longer supports Mac. I would like to find a math program for the Max at a reasonable price (about $100). Any suggestions?
