I am getting rid of the computer to someone I don't know and want to make sure that they cannot retrieve any of my files, however, I do want them to be able to use the computer and the programs I have.

broken one of the keys on my laptop. Its a compaq. i still have the key and two little black things (one is larger than the other) that i assumes creates the spring effect or something. is there anyway i can fix it???

I noticed an ad format that I really like, that is not available in my Adsense format setup.

It's on the Wisegeek.com website - it's the large block on the top left, next to the picture. It has bullet points, large titles, and a tiny "ads by Google" notice at the top. It's set up on most of their pages - here is one example:

I have several websites (say SiteOne) that have to use the same database located on www.SiteCentral.com:
On SiteOne, I write:
$link = mysql_connect("www.SiteCentral.com", "username", "password");
?>
I have set the calling site as allowed user.
I have tried all versions of the URL.
Always get "access denied".
Any idea what I am doing wrong? (or forgot to do?)

I have a pc that is using illegal copy of windows xp. Can I use my legal Windows Vista upgrade cd to legalize the operating system? Will it be using the vista upgrade key from then on, or will it still be using the pirated XP key?
Just wondering.

With XP you had 30 days to register, do you still have a registration window with Vista? I'd like to install Vista on a new machine and use it if it works well, but if it totally sucks I'd like to be able to either put it on a different machine or sell it on Ebay ...

but it will be an OEM version so once registered it is non-transferrable.

It's a Brother MFC-240C. It makes the same sounds as if it is printing, but the paper it feeds out has no ink on it. I just put in a new cartridge, so it's not out of ink. Well, not black, anyway, and I was attempting to print a text document that's only black letters.

I had this problem before, but I don't know what was done to fix it. Someone else fixed it for me. Now I want to do it myself.

Suggestions?
