I'm creating this website and I would like it done i a way that, when a visitor encounters an error, maybe a page that doesn't exist, or an invalid link, the visitor sees a page that I created explaining the possible errors Instead of the normal "The Page Cannot Be Found" that most windows users are thoroughly accustomed to.

first of all id like to point out that i have googled the problem. ive looked at all the forums and so forth and i did read the manual (wich is toatally pointless. why do the make it? its a waste of paper! havnt they heard of global warming?)

ok heres the deal. i have a program called poser. everytime i run it the computer restarts.

this is what ive done: virus scan (avast). malware scan (adaware). thingy scan (programs found on forums where answers were given to people with similar problems). oh yeah and then apparently it can get too hot. ive downloaded "speed fan". it used to be at 89 C now its at 75 C and it still restarts.

it restarts every now and then with other programs (like adaware) and every now and then it works. however i have yet to identify the happy winds of fate which allow it to work. otherwise i would have made sure they were in effect all the time...
dont make your answers too advanced please. and if you can include links... liks rock

PS kicking it dosent help.

I have another tower that i was given a few months back, it looks although it is a costom made tower, put in with motherboard etc etc. The 80gb HDD that come with it doesn't do anything! It has an AMD athlon 2000xp Processor, and runs 512mb of ram memory, i do have another 256 to add, depending which OS i use.

I am having trouble with loading ME onto it, it seems to be taking forever, to do what my old tower done within 12 hours!
I am still using the 10bg HDD as i have no other one ( that Works )

I am wondering if i should put XP back onto it because it might just go through the cycle of not working again, where it keeps restarting and returning the the safe mode option screen, and yet again restarting.

I also Have Windows 2000 Proffetionall, But when i try to install my broadband software it comes up with a grey box saying ' OrandBroadband Has caused an Error in Unknown.
What does this mean??

Many thanks, Dave ;-)

When i removed Mc Afee i coudn't even start my internet until i removed AVG and installed a program recommended by my Internet provider! I tried reinstalling AVG after downloading the recommended program but it wouldn't install and registries were removed half way during installation! Why?

I am currently freeloading off my neighbours wireless network.

This has been working fine for the last 4 weeks.

However yesterday when signal went low IE6 stated "offline" and cannot access any websites (although PC says still connected to network).

And yet Firefox accesses web no problem.

Is there something in IE6 settings I need to change? Why would this change from prior to yday when IE6 worked fine?

Thanks (no sermons on why I shouldnt freeload please)

My compaq desktop pc with Pentium 4 processor/windows xp keeps shutting down, within minutes after logging in. I would be in the middle of waiting for a program to load when several popups show up saying something like "...failed to load because windows is shutting down.", and all i could do is click ok until these popups go away and the computer shuts down. I think it may be a virus...How can I stop this from happening? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've been itching to ask this: I've heard on certain motherboards mainly the Nvidia 680i or should I say the ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131073
It says that it can run 2 cards in PCI express slots at full x16 speeds and then a physics card at 8x speeds, but whenever I look at the ageia Physx card it says it's interface is PCI.... WTF? Am I missing something here? It will work right.... but how? And another thing, how many of you think the Physx card will be worth it to buy and how many of you who have it like it (who have actually played physics enabled games)? It's only $143, and if you don't how long do you think it will be until it is worth it to buy? 1 year? 2 years? 3 years?

I've been looking off and on for the past couple of months for an easy-to-use blog importer or script that I can either have people link to so that they can publish my blog on their own sites, or a script I can post that people can copy and paste on their own sites that will import my blog. I like the functionality of the blog import feature on Facebook.com, but I've had trouble in the past trying to figure out how to install and configure scripts that require some knowledge of PHP, ASP, etc., so the easier this would be to install, the better. Any suggestions?

Okay so im typing on my imac and notice my wireless keyboard is gettig a bit dirty. I turn it off and wipe it down with a lightly damped sponge. I restart my computer and the clear notice pops up sayin "Conection Lost" for the keyboard. Batteries dead, I immediately think. I turn off the keyboard and change them into some rechargeable batteries. Nothing. Must not be charged. They charge and i turn on the key board. The Bluetooth assistant goes thru the process, detects the keyboard, then tells to type in a code and press return. i type it and wen i press return nothing happens. Nada. I go to textedit and I try to type. Nothing. I look at the keyboard, the lights are blinking (bink blink pause) over and over again.
Come on now, whats going on?!

I will elaborate on this. I am asking women what changes they notice when talking to a guy over the internet that is unaware of your gender, and probably assuming you are a guy. For example, playing a Massive Multiplayer Online Game, when having casual conversation with guys that assume you too are a guy, do you notice changes in conversation topics and responses as apposed to if he knows you are a girl? Is he more/less open? Do you see a more/less perverted side (jokes, comments, etc.)

Also, how do you feel talking to a guy over the internet as opposed to talking to them face-to-face?

So recently I've been getting these strange e-mails telling me that I've received an e-greeting or card from a friend/etc. The very first one I got two days ago I clicked on the link without thinking, because at first glance it looked legit. The site that it is linked to does not work though. However, since that time my computer has been running a little slower with frequent pauses during regular operations, like loading web pages, opening/closing programs. I'm wondering if this apparent spam, or possibly viru bearing e-mail might have something to do with it. Any other ideas?
