I will elaborate on this. I am asking women what changes they notice when talking to a guy over the internet that is unaware of your gender, and probably assuming you are a guy. For example, playing a Massive Multiplayer Online Game, when having casual conversation with guys that assume you too are a guy, do you notice changes in conversation topics and responses as apposed to if he knows you are a girl? Is he more/less open? Do you see a more/less perverted side (jokes, comments, etc.)

Also, how do you feel talking to a guy over the internet as opposed to talking to them face-to-face?

I use to play MMO's often and I always gave myself away as being a girl. However, in the short time where my fellow guildmates/parties had no clue, the conversations were a lot more relaxed and fun. I found that once they figured out I was a girl, the conversations almost immediately turned into questions about sex or just dumb topics in general (zomg!! r u hot?? lol!, etc.). Their perverted sides definitely came out once they realized my gender.

The best experience I ever had is when I played off being a lesbian. The guys treated me like a normal player, not a possible cyber session. This worked for me because it was much easier to play the part of a woman that had no interest in guys, as opposed to trying to pretend I was a guy (which I tried, but it'd never last... especially with Ventrillo and Teamspeak, hehe).

I met my husband via online, and I enjoyed our talks immensely. It was much easier talking to him, hidden behind a computer screen, rather than maybe awkwardly chatting in a bar.
It allowed us to build up a foundation, so once the phone calls and the face-to-face meetings took place, everything flowed much easier.

Teasing by girls. Time pass for boys. Useless for both.
