Okay so im typing on my imac and notice my wireless keyboard is gettig a bit dirty. I turn it off and wipe it down with a lightly damped sponge. I restart my computer and the clear notice pops up sayin "Conection Lost" for the keyboard. Batteries dead, I immediately think. I turn off the keyboard and change them into some rechargeable batteries. Nothing. Must not be charged. They charge and i turn on the key board. The Bluetooth assistant goes thru the process, detects the keyboard, then tells to type in a code and press return. i type it and wen i press return nothing happens. Nada. I go to textedit and I try to type. Nothing. I look at the keyboard, the lights are blinking (bink blink pause) over and over again.
Come on now, whats going on?!

Never clean computer parts with water, use rubbing alcohol instead, you shorted out your keyboard and it's probably toast.

Replace it or switch to a wired keyboard.
