it as an email attachment to anyone and will they still be able to open it even though it is typed on Open Office as it doesnt look like a normal attachment when you look at it on the email and the computer is a Vista so only has Microsoft Works on it and Works wouldnt do it when I tried it?

I'm doing research on notebook computers and I am considering an Apple MacBook. I am a college student so having an application where I can type papers and put pictures into a paper are a must. I grew up using Microsoft Office and use Word, Excel, and Powerpoint very extensively. I would be open to buy one if Apple has a program or suite similar to that. Can you print papers with any printer or must it be a Apple certified one or something? Is it easy to transfer files from a PC to a Mac via home network or jump drive? I'm not a big fan of Quicktime, is there another Media Player I can install? I have read comments about people complaining that 512MB of ram is not enough. Best Buy has one on its website with an Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2Ghz and one gig of ram, is that good for this notebook? Obviously I have many questions. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to post pros and cons about the MacBook as well . Thanks and enjoy your day :)

How do I display either html or javascript code in yahoo answers?

For ex. If I do something like ->
document.getElementById('bleh').something
it trims the end of the code with "..." so it does not display as I intended it to be.

I am wanting to buy an adapter for my vehicle, the kind that will allow me to use my computer in my vehicle instead of using the battery. I have a 19" Sony Vaio laptop (very big and powerful) so I am wondering what to look for? Will I need a particular voltage, or wattage, or whatever? Obviously I am not up on this sort of thing, so all help is appreciated! I just don't want to ruin my computer, or overload the outlet port, or wharever... thank you!!

I'm working on invoices at work. We have to save the invoices to the computer (for various reasons- I won't get into them) before we print them. The only option to save is in RTF- which means that every line of the invoice comes out in its own little text box. Dozens of text boxes. If I want to make a change to the invoice, I have to shift all these stupid little boxes around, then try to line them all back up with each other. This is the biggest pain in the rear. Is there something I can do to make this easier? Please don't say to "Save as" in a different format- that's not working, it still comes out in dozens of boxes. Please help!

I am moving into an apartment complex that forbids the use of routers so I am trying to figure out how I can go about connecting multiple devices to the internet without one.

I have been researching and what I would liike to do is use a WAP connected directly to the internet and then connect my computer/misc devices through that but I am not sure if that is possible.

If this can be done what hardware/software would I need to make it happen?

Ok,I connect the 2 laptops wit a lan wire and enable the lan connection but i can't transfer anything from any of the laptos but i can still play the multiplayer games,The lan coneection always tells me that there is a limited connection,wat can I do 2 solve this problem? PLZ HELP

I had a HP printer which packed up ( 2nd in a year) and because I needed one in a hurry I nipped to the Asda and bought a Lexmark for less than £20 including cartridge ,which is £4 less than just a replacement cartridge for the HP costs! The Lexmark actually prints faster and better than the HP but it will not print at all unless I turn the Virus protection ( Norton) off. Any ideas why?
