Learning to produce a good website in limited time is not really an easy task if you have no experience. The best thing to do would be to buy a nice template ready made site that way all you need to do is add content. It will look slick and professional and be a good base to work with as you learn more about how to manage and work with your own site.
There are a multitude of books and programs you could choose from but i would suggest that you buy a basic html for dummies book and then also use all the free online help thats available from us other dummies for free.
A good site to use and read from is webmonkey and of course there are thousands more sites that also offer all sorts of code and use full widgets that you can implement and use in your own site. I very seldom write anything from scratch myself as there is so much free code of bit you can buy cheap there is not a lot of need for most average websites.
Hope this helps you a little in your website quest.

It really isn't too complex, but there are a few steps that might be hard until you get used to them.
1. You need to make sure the domain name is pointed to the webhosting site. The webhosting site should give you two IP addresses for Name Servers. You need to go to the configuration of the place that you registered your domain at, and there will be a place you will enter thos name server IP addresses.
2. You need to create a web page. This can be done on your own home computer, and tested before it is put onto your public web site. It's as easy as creating the pages in Word and saving them as HTML. The default.htm needs to be the file name of the first page displayed at your web site.
3. After you have built your web site on your home computer, you can upload the file via FTP. Most professional tools have ways to automatically do this, but it's very easy without a professional tool. You just open windows explorer, type the name of the ftp site... like ftp.microsoft.com. It will either ask for credentials, or you need to go to file / login as...
4. Copy the web files to the FTP site by dragging and dropping them.
5. Anytime you update your files on your home computer, you need to re-upload them to the FTP site. The location of the FTP site is actually the same location as the web site. FTP is just a way for users to upload their files to their web site.

It sounds like if you need a guide for dummies, then the best place to start might be the 'for dummies' series of text books. Try this one called 'Building a Web Site for dummies'
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764571443/artsupport
The other thing you might want to check is if your webhoster provides any kind of 'Content Management System' (CMS) as part of the hosting environment. If they do, maybe you might consider using that for your website instead of building one from scratch.
If you are planning to create this website for your business, my best advice is to find a friend who knows this kind of stuff and can teach/guide you in the right way to create your website. Honestly It will save you a lot of time in the long run.

You may need to check with your web hoster company
if they provide some easy step by step web making tools.
If they provide so, that will be the best for you!
You may also check Geocities on Yahoo homepage left
hand side options. They have free web hosting also and
I think they provide web making tools also. If they provide
these tools you can check if you can make the website
using their tools and can publish it on your web hoster site.
You may also check www.freewebs.com and see if you
can get something which helps you.
Good luck friend.

Yes you can. Just go to your control panel on godaddy and point your name servers to your hosting (bluegravity should be able to provide you wtih that information). I have registered many domain names at godaddy and have hosted them at many other different hosting companies.
