im going to buy a family PC that i will also use for work, should i wait for Mac OS X leopard or get Windows Vista???

I bought a Pavilion s3020n with preinstalled Win Vista. I found out that Vista does not support my printer driver and a few other softwares which use to run good on Win XP.
Is it possible to format the HD and install Win XP? Will XP run good?

I would be using my laptop normaly and if i would move it just a little the screen would start breaking up and freeze and my only choice is to hold down the power button to turn it off. after a few tries of turning it on only about 1 out of 9 tries it will turn on for only a moment and do the same thing... freeze up and not turn back on. i really need help on this please thanks!

I put a CD in and it says please insert disk. Is there anyway I can fix it? I know this seems like my other question but I am really in need of fixing something since if I install the drive from the website it'll take 583 minutes *seriously*. I have dial up :-( Please help me fix my drive. Also can you return a printer if you have a receipt and you installed everything like the ink but it wont work?

When I try to watch a video on YouTube it stops about a third of the way through...some videos play all the way but most just stop dead. The FAQ page says I need more bandwidth...well how do I get it? (Yes, I am behind the times)

Here's what it's doing: My mouse cursor has a lag in it every couple of seconds or so, my music has a lag also (stopping then starting again), my internet is also running slower than usual. This has been happening for about 2 days. For the past 6 months or so, I've been downloading songs off limewire. I downloaded around 150 songs. I stopped and uninstalled limewire yesterday. I have norton antivirus and I ran a scan and it came back clean. There's still a slight lag in everything though. What could be wrong?

i had screen popping up saying spy sweeeper was blocking acces to some spyware then i ran the spy sweeper program..
my screen froze i restarted now all i have is my background.. no programs or control panel..i started to press keys just grasping at straws and i hit the window key and delete i found what was "windows task manager"
no internet explorer icon to be found but i had a yahoo mail shortcut on my desktop so i opedned the internet that way
What happened? how can i fix it?

I have a master drive tried to hook up. . I tried using it as a master at one point but windows would not load properly.
I decided to use as a slave drive and now you can see data on master drive(other drive). Question: Why can you see data on master drive now when windows would not load properly when I had set drive to master?

Hey
My friend gave me a Toshiba laptop with Vista on it
I wanted to downgrade to XP
But when I press F2 to enter Bios it asks me for a password
My friend doesn't know the password
We have tried everything...
I know on a PC you can removed the coin battery and the password will go away
I have the program ERD Commander to change passwords, but without me being able to get into the BIOS to change the boot sequence I don't think ERD will load
Any suggestions to get past a BIOS password will be greatly appreciated

What are some causes for getting the "setup could not copy file" error while restoring Windows XP Pro??? I've tried 3 different times to restore Windows on my PC which has been wiped clean. Each time I'm getting this error, usually a different file it's having trouble, sometimes it makes it farther than on other attempts? Any solutions?????
