If you can't turn your computer on then it is surely a hardware problem but if you can then you might have software problems ( though hardware problems are still possible).

Have you tried upgrading your "BIOS"? if no then try it. It is usually found as an upgrade from your laptop manufacturer's website. I suggest you to learn more about installing the BIOS because it is risky and might mess your computer further. Make sure that you have a "compatible" Bios for your laptop. Bios can be installed without starting the system you just need to start the computer until manufacturer logo appears.

The bios might be destroyed or corrupted when you shut down your computer while busy.

viruses seldom affects your computer when the operating system is not yet initialized. It is hard also to scan the system if you can't start the computer.

I might further help you if you give more info about it like how far can you go when can start your computer( manufacturer logo?, windows logo?, user password prompt?)

you can email me if you want further info.

do some memory tests. It could be bad memory. Use Memtest to diagnose bad memory sticks. Look it up on the internet.

Also, if the laptop starts freezing a good while after it is being used, freezes, makes you shut it down, you try to turn it back on immediately and the same thing happens but it turns on every time if the computer hasn't been used for say an hour or more, it could maybe be a heat problem.

The positive cause of that might be..Low in memory and free space in hardisk.

Do not turn on and off your computer so frequently it might crash, because some of the system files of the computer requires a normal shut down, and if you turn it on and off that way it might be damage and be corrupted.

I suggest that you remove some program in your system and if you can't do that try to reformat your computer to avoid more problems in the future.

Many things could happen why your laptop acting that way, it could be overheating, power problem, very low memmory, low HD space, viruses, trojan, and so on. So the best thing to do is to check it one at a time see if you can pin point the problem.

Check all the cooling fans, sounds like an overheating issue.

If that's ok, you should run a windows repair utility to see if that can help. I like IOBIT's free utility http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
