My computer won't go to web and has no sound ,Why ?

It said no phone connection ,but I checked and the phone is fine .

The sound may be muted or turned down. There should be a Little picture of a speaker.click on it twice and it should bring up everything you can turn up on it and to see if its muted. there can also be a volume control on your screen. As for the connection to the web. I get that way to often but what I do is turn everything off then unplug it for a minute. plug it all back in and see if it works. If it doesn't work at that point I turn everything off for a hr. That usually will do it unless something else is wrong. The other thing to make sure of is that your computer does not get to hot. There are vents on the computer and they should be wiped off often so no dust will collect on them to much. I even open my computer and vacuum the dust out so it will not get to hot. is your phone line to the computer ok?(not just the kitchen phone?) we had one line go bad at out house of three phones
- yep - had to be the computer line that went to dead short

in the right input? (not oputput?)

go to START then RUN then type "msconfig" then go to services and click ENABLE ALL
