why does my computer over heat only when i play games? I have left it on for many weeks in a row. But even if it is off for over 3 days, when i play cirtin games it comes up with a new screen with a whole bunch of meeters saying "computer over heating please shut off now" and it is beeping loudly

My friend's computer blue screened a couple of days ago. He has a lot of music files on his computer. I can reformat it and reload his original software back on, but is there a way of saving the music with out recovery software. I'm not a total expert with computers yet, but I do know some things.

Ok! I asked about the Content Advisor problem and now this morning we had another issue with another computer in our living room. The Brain of the computer won't turn on at all...we tried plugs from this computer, we tried the brain on this computer and the brain will not turn on at all. We don't recall doing anything different last night on it and it worked fine so what gives? Any ideas? Thanks

Been on the computer all day starting an essay and as always forgot to save it all day. then went to close down another word document and when asked whether i would like to save it opted not to, only to realise it was in fact the essay i have been working on all day.

is there anyway to recover it even though i didnt ever save it in the first place. i do have autosave every 10 mins

I want to buy an apple laptop, probably a G4, but I need to know a few things first. I am looking on ebay and some of the descriptions say memory will be wiped clean. Does this mean that it won't come with some of the programs like GarageBand and iMovie? Also, if I'm going on a trip how can I access the internet with a wireless laptop? How can I access the internet wirelessly period with this notebook? Please share any other information you have about these laptops too. Thanks in advance for any help!!

I have a guest crashing for a while and wanted to set up the computer so he can ONLY access the internet; none of my private files and drives. He's a computer scientist so naturally I'm a little weary of him, until at least I start to trust him a little more. I am leaving my job at the end of this week. I dont have porn or anything like that on my computer but I have done a lot of personal things; documents, spreadsheets, emails, IM etc. Is there anything I can do to purge the computer of this? My boss isnt exactly computer saavy but I dont want to take any chances. I have deleted all documents and emptied the recycle bin, I clear my history daily and run ad -aware to clear my browser. But it is my understanding even though these things are deleted - they arent gone. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
