I just purchased a 320 GB Seagate hard drive which connects via USB to my new computer, I was able to transfer all the files I needed from my old computer onto the Seagate. Can I simply leave it plugged in to the power outlet and computer via USB 24/7 or is it better to only plug it in when needed??

Hello! Ok i bought a new computer (well from ebay in december) it was working fine (well it had a few glitches as it had corrupt boot files and i dont have a copy of windows ) but it used to turn on and the monitor would show all the booting stuff but today i turn the computer on and the monitor doesnt turn on it just stays in standby thingy (power button is orange) i tested it out on a few other computers and the monitor is working fine! so im kinda stumped ! Any ideas would be appreciated?

This php script uploads (jpg) and (gif ) images into a directory, but now i want to change the file type to only (xml) files.
I need help, im confused.

I want it to upload only .xml file types. can this be customized?

I have a DVD+R but its not big enough to hold both the mdf and mds files.

Its the DVD itself and the menu.

I've heard of double layer DVD disks and DVD-R but I have no idea which I should use.

Do I use a different one or just get another pack of DVD+R in a bigger storage size?

I'm using Alcohol 120%, btw.

I am choosing between a macbook pro that has 2.2 and 2.4 gHz. Both computers have an intel Core 2 duo processor but the computer with 2.2 has 128 SDRAM and the 2.4 has 256 SDRAM. Is that a big difference?

Just wondering if someone can explain this to me I have a e6420 core 2 duo at 2.13 GHz each, this has a 1066 FSB but when I look at the description in Vista system properties is says

6420 @ 2.13GHz 800MHz <---------- im assuming the 800 MHz is the FSB speed so whats wrong?

Everytime i try and connect m ywireless router to the computer it comews up with CONGRATULATIONS! but then when you click finish it makes my computer have no internet. it just completely loses its connection. I do NOT know what else t try. This is a Belkin wireless router.

I want to block Myspace from my kids but they are always getting around it. Is there a way using the host file to bock myspace? I have blocked www.myspace.com but since the domain can me mail.myspace or blog.myspace exct there are so many other addresses. is there a way to use a wild card? (example *.myspace.com) Thanks!

nice cool case, black/silver

also is there any extra things i could add that are not dear but may boost value? e.g neon inner lights since case has a clear window oin side?

My CPU will be : AMD ATHLON 64 X2 3800+ 4.0 GHZ 1MB CACHE AM2 DUAL CORE and i need a reasonable price motherboard which will support this Athlon 64 X2 socket 939 CPU. I've got all my RAM,case,HDD,Graphics card etc but need a decent but good value mobo.

I like the look of :ECS KV2 Lite Socket 939 AGP LAN ATX Motherboard , for price although after looking at some feedback some customers criticise it saying alot of the time they dont work and they'd go with Abit of Asus in the future.

Any help would be appreciated. And also any decent good value site would be great also. (UK)
