Yes it's your computer either the memory has gone or your graphics card as given up try another monitor on yours if it does the same switch off the power open it up and give the memory a slight push to make sure it asn't moved do the same for the graphics card then turn it on and put your ear near the hard drive to make sure it's spinning if not then it's the drive that's gone try a different hard drive let me know how you got on mate email from profile.

The reason it's not coming on is because it's not receiving a signal from your graphics card. (Evidenced by the LED remaining orange.)

Take the side off your computer case, and take the graphics card out of it's slot, then reinsert it. Unplug your computer from the mains supply whilst you do this, but touch the case with your hand(s) to get rid of any static electricity that may have built up in your body.

Replug the computer back into the mains socket and switch on. If everything works, replace the side of your case and thank God/dess that your graphics card is still OK.

If this doesn't solve the 'problem', you might like to try your graphics card in someone else's computer, or try their graphics card in yours.

If you have a spare computer in the house/flat then use the cable that connects from the graphics ports to the monitor and try that one. Also try resetting the bios ( if you google the model number of your motherboard it will tell you how to do this )

Check if your graphics card is working try plugging a monitor in that you know works, obviously if that comes on it's your monitor that's dodgy if however it doesn't it's odds on it's your graphic's card.

there might be a plug in the back of the monitor you need to push in
