My pc has no sound after reformatting, and i have no kind of back up. (how stupid am i)

Im running windows xp professinal, service pack 2.
My sound card is creative labs es1371

i have tryied everything. Iv been so upsat cause i cant listen to music :-(, im only 19 and i dont know much about pcs.

iv tried uninstalling, but when i do the pc picks it up automaticly and install the driver with out asking me anything.

where can i get the full driver from??????
I have also lost the volume icon in my task bar, why is that?

please some one help???????????
My music means the world to me. :-)

Last time i reformatted, my pc was fine. But this time just pure BAD LUCK with a capital B.

If any one knows how to get it working pleae tell me step by step. As people have told me to do this and that, and didnt know where to start.

I bought a USB WPN111 wireless adaptor.
How do I get this to work with a Rangemax WPN824 wireless router? Also I use windows vista. Would this be the reason why my adapor won't work?

We recently bought a computer that came with Vista. (which so far I have hated) Anyway, my daughter has lots of PC games that Vista doesn't seem to be compatable with. They worked fine when we had Windows XP. Does anyone know if there is something I need to download in order for Vista to allow my daughter to play her games?

my aunt has a dell computer, and they told her to go online and retrieve it that way, but she isnt able to figure out how to get it. the problem is that since you cant remember her windows password, she cant gain access to windows at all..which creates a bit of a problem. any help much appreciated. thankz

this is not a sexest question. In the last 2 years I have been in a realationship with a gorgeous lady. she tells me all the time how much she loves me and how happy she is when we're together. but , and here it is. she want someone who can give her more material things like a nice house and holidays,weekends away . and look after her so she can work partime not full. having spoken to some friends on this situaton they have come across ladies who want or even exspect this.
yes the realationship is over but we're still friends. i hav a phyilosaphy that you can't make someone do something they don't want to . so i can't make her love me or want to be with me. It's just that with being single again is it gonna be a minefield out there??????????????

I have a desktop running windows xp connected to a adsl/router via a etrhernet cable ,the desktop is connected to a printer via a USB cable this prints ok.
My Laptop communicates with the Internet wirelessly as does the desktop via the Ethernet cable connected to the Router . QUESTION how can I get the laptop to connect to the printer and print via Router .The Laptop is running Windows Vista

I have a new laptop and an older desktop. The desktop is running XP and the laptop running Vista. I have already setup router, and have my wireless connection secured and running properly.

I would like now to be able to share files between the two computers. The desktop has an external USB drive that I keep sending things and then unplugging it and putting it on my laptop. However, I would love to be able to share the files over the network. I like learning things, but this is confusing, and I really want to know how to do it.

I am most likely gonna need step by step. So many settings, and I'm not sure what i am supposed to do. If I'm supposed to do it on both pc's or what. Please someone point me in the right direction. I am desperate :)

I have become really bored with the network side of I.T. and I really enjoy graphics and design..Since I really have no previous professional experience, what type of salary can I probably expect?
