Go to the following link, http://www.crucial.com/uk they can do an on line check which will determine which ram your motherboard supports. They will recommend the optimum amount. You can order on line and although they are not the cheapest it is worth paying for good ram. They guarantee compatibility with your motherboard and give an excellent warranty.They lso give fitting instructions. I have used them many times and always been satisfied. Hope this helps.

The most your motherboard would accept is 3 sticks of 512Mb. If you plan to retain your 256Mb, add two sticks of 512Mb.

Clean first those empty slots of dust with a small paint brush. If the additional RAM do not work at first on the vacant slots, remove the 256Mb and install 1 stick 512Mb there. If OK, install the next 512Mb. Just reseat if it does not work. Install the 256Mb last.

you can add 2 512 sticks if you keep the 256 or you can remove the 256 stick and go with 3 512 sticks.
