this asian guy told me if my pc has a 480 MB RAM instead of 512... than this card will do the job... it will increase up 2 512.. because graphic card share memory.. he told me something like that is it tru ?

I am leaning towards getting a Mac (my cousin the computer expert says that they're waaaayyyyy better) but I realize that there are so many Windows programs, so I don't know if I should get a Mac. my computer doesn't meet minimum system requirements for a game.
It has a Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller 64 Mb video card and the minimum is a 64mb vidoe card with hardware pixel and vertex shaders or GeForce 3, Radeon 8500 or better. is the video card not good enough. thats the only thing that im not sure about.

I think the most intensive computer game I will play is Medieval 2 Total War. I like mainly strategies. I found this computer that I could buy:

That one says it has a 256mb card, and so does Medieval 2. Will it be adaquate? If not what kind of card should I look for to play strategies?
